WEBDESK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir have performed Umrah in Makkah. The Prime Minister, Field Marshal, and a high-level Pakistani delegation are currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia at the special invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
During the sacred hours between Thursday and Friday night, the Pakistani delegation performed Umrah. On this special occasion, the doors of the Holy Kaaba were opened exclusively for the visiting delegation. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other members of the delegation offered special prayers (Nawafil) inside the Holy Kaaba.
They expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for recent successes particularly for the significant achievement of “Bunyan Mursas” — and prayed for Pakistan’s economic progress, public welfare initiatives, and national development.
On this deeply spiritual occasion, special prayers were also offered for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and for the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir and Palestine, who continue to endure injustice and hardship.
The delegation also included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.
