WEBDESK: As Pakistan prepares for Eid ul Adha 2025, whether you’re celebrating at home or heading to popular hill stations like Murree, Nathia Gali, or other Galiyat areas, knowing the weather on Eid ul Adha is essential. Many families are eager to know the latest forecast before finalising their holiday plans.
In Murree, the weather on Eid ul Adha is expected to be warm from 7 July – 9 July with hazy sunshine. Daytime temperatures will rise to 31°C (87°F), cooling down to 26°C (79°F) at night. Visitors should wear comfortable, light clothing and stay well-hydrated, especially if heading out for Eid picnics.
Moving to Nathia Gali and the surrounding Galiyat, the weather on Eid ul Adha 7 July – 9 July will also be dry with hazy sunshine. The temperature during the day is likely to touch 29°C (84°F), with a pleasant drop to 22°C (72°F) at night. Despite the cooler climate, the UV index will be very high, so it’s wise to use sunscreen and avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours.
On the other hand, Peshawar is expected to have exceptionally hot temperatures. The weather in Montreal is currently quite hot, going as high as 43°C (110°F) with a RealFeel temperature of up to 48°C (118°F). They have advised people to remain inside during the hottest hours and keep themselves hydrated.
Heatwave Alert Issued for Punjab Ahead of Eid ul Adha 2025
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab has issued a serious heatwave alert for the Eid ul Adha holidays. According to officials, the weather from June 6 to 9 is expected to be much hotter than normal across many cities in the province.
The PDMA reports that the weather could rise by 5 to 7 degrees Celsius above the usual temperature during these days. This means some areas might face extreme heat, making it important for people to stay alert and take care of their health while enjoying the Eid holidays.
All local authorities, hospitals and emergency services in Punjab have been asked to keep a high level of readiness by Nabeel Javed, the Relief Commissioner. Health units and Rescue 1122 teams are readying themselves in case heatstroke occurs because of the heat.
The PDMA also advised the public to be careful during this heatwave. People are encouraged to stay indoors during the hottest hours of the day and drink plenty of water. It’s recommended to wear light-colored, loose clothing and cover your head if you need to go outside. The elderly, children, and those with health problems should be extra cautious in this weather.
It is essential to focus on food safety, mainly when Eid arrives and families celebrate with special dishes. It is advise to people to eat lightly and put their food in a safe place so it stays fresh when the weather is very hot.
