WEBDESK: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Head of Pakistan’s foreign ministry, heavily criticized India for doing things that threaten the region and for deceiving its people.
In an interview with Chinese media in New York, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pointed out that India’s constant violations inside Pakistan can destabilize South Asia.
Bilawal Bhutto says India has often violated Pakistan’s border and attacked it in breach of its sovereignty. He warned such activities could harm the relationship between the two countries as well as the peace in the region.
India in violation of Indus Waters Treaty: Bilawal Bhutto
He drew special attention to India’s decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty which has existed between India and Pakistan for a long time. On the matter, he noted that, according to international rules, India is the country in the wrong for violating the treaty.
In his interview, Bilawal Bhutto voiced disapproval of India’s actions in Indian-occupied Kashmir. He noted that India is changing the demography of the region and it is taking actions that are contrary to global standards. He pointed out that continuing this way could bring about lasting problems and more conflicts involving human rights.
Who lost the recent Pakistan-India conflict?
The former foreign minister recalled that following the Pahalgam incident, Pakistan promptly offered an impartial investigation and invited international observers to participate. However, India rejected the proposal, and even after a month, failed to identify or apprehend any suspects linked to the attack.
Responding to a question about who won the war, Bilawal Bhutto asked a simple question, “Who’s lying to their people? It took one month for the Indian government to admit that we downed their planes.”
“Why were they hiding this fact from their people? Because the truth is, they lost. We downed 6 indian jets and they refused to admit it up until yesterday.”
He asserted that India launched unilateral strikes against Pakistan without providing any credible evidence, and such actions violate the principles of international law and justice.
Bilawal Bhutto emphasized that Pakistan continues to support peace and diplomacy. He declared that Pakistan is willing to talk and resolve problems without resorting to violence. But he made it clear that India must be sincere in its approach and stop applying force to influence its neighbors.
