WEBDESK: The Islamabad Police have, on Tuesday, officially registered an FIR against an unknown suspect, following the shocking murder of the 17-year-old TikTok star, Sana Yousaf.
Sana Yousaf, who had gained massive popularity on social media with over 4 million followers, was tragically shot and killed inside her home in Sector G-13 of Islamabad. The news of her sudden and violent death has shaken her fans, the influencer community, and the public across Pakistan.
In the FIR, the mother said that a man with a pistol in his hand entered their house suddenly at around 5pm and “shot straight at my daughter with the intention to kill”. She was critically injured and later succumbed to her wounds. The killer quickly fled the scene, and police have not made any arrests so far.
She added that two shots struck Sana in her chest, injuring her severely. The girl was taken to a hospital but she had succumbed to her wounds, the FIR added.
The mother described the suspect as having a “smart appearance, moderate physique and height”, and dressed in a black shirt and pants. She asserted that she and her sister-in-law, Lateefa Shah, were eyewitnesses to the incident and could identify the suspect if they saw him in person.
Farzana detailed that her 15-year-old son was not present at the house as he had gone to their native village in Upper Chitral, while her sister-in-law was visiting them for a few days.
Following the incident, the Sana Yousaf FIR was registered at the Ramna Police Station. The FIR includes charges of murder under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Police say they are investigating all possible angles, including personal enmity, online harassment, or even a targeted attack. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage, questioning witnesses, and checking Sana’s recent social media activity for clues.
Police sources suggested that the suspect might have been a guest at the victim’s house at the time of the shooting. The motive behind the killing is still under investigation.
Sana Yousaf was a popular TikTok personality with a significant following. Her body has been sent to PIMS for a post-mortem examination.
