WEBDESK: Prominent journalist, anchorperson, and vlogger Mansoor Ali Khan has launched a scathing attack on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government after devastating Swat floods that swept away more than 75 people across seven different locations. The tragedy, which unfolded while people waited helplessly for rescue services that never arrived in time, has sparked nationwide outrage.

In his video statement, Mansoor Ali Khan directly blamed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led KP government for the loss of lives, accusing them of 12 years of administrative negligence and empty promises. “This is the height of shamelessness. In 12 years of rule, you haven’t even managed to build proper rescue services or flood management systems,” he said.
Helicopters for yourselves, none for drowning citizens: Mansoor Ali Khan
Mansoor pointed out that while PTI leaders frequently use helicopters for personal convenience, none were sent to rescue the drowning victims in Swat flood. “You people run helicopters for yourselves all year round, but when it came to saving 18 innocent lives, where was your helicopter then?” he asked.
He criticised the government for its failure to predict monsoon weather patterns or secure dangerous spots along the riverbanks, despite the area facing deadly flooding every year. “Every monsoon season, Swat River rises and takes lives and yet you people sit comfortably, making no arrangements. This is criminal negligence,” he stated.
Quick to rally, nowhere in rescue: Mansoor Ali Khan exposes KP govt’s failure
Mansoor also condemned the PTI government’s misplaced priorities, highlighting how political rallies are organised in Swat within minutes, but emergency response services remain absent when citizens’ lives are at risk. “When it comes to holding your rallies and processions, you reach Swat in no time but for flood victims, you’ve done nothing for over a decade,” he lashed out.
Live Footage of Tragedy Exposes Government’s Failure
Referring to heartbreaking live footage of the tragedy aired throughout the day, Mansoor said, “Our hearts were breaking as we saw those scenes on TV, but you shameless people have been in power for 12 years and still can’t provide basic rescue services.”
