Caste violence in India: 16 year old Ganesh Valmiki killed by Indian police

WEBDESK: Heartbreaking news has emerged from Bharat Nagar, Hisar district in India’s Haryana state. A 16-year-old boy, Ganesh Valmiki, was killed by police officers on his birthday. What should have been a happy celebration turned into a tragedy.

Ganesh’s family was playing music to mark his birthday a simple, harmless right for any citizen. But drunk police officers stormed into the gathering. Witnesses say the officers hurled casteist abuses at the family. They ordered the music to stop and called for more police to join them.

Soon, the officers began beating people. Even women were not spared. They were harassed and mistreated in full view of the neighbourhood. In a shocking act of brutality, the police dragged young Ganesh Valmiki to the roof of the house and threw him off. He died on the spot.

Locals say this was not an isolated incident but a clear example of caste-based police brutality. The Valmiki community has long faced discrimination in India, and this latest incident highlights the deep-rooted prejudice in the country’s law enforcement.

Human rights activists have condemned the incident and called for immediate action against the guilty officers. So far, no justice has been served.

Earlier A leader from RSS has called for the removal of the words “socialist” and “secular” from the Constitution of India.

This statement is not the first of its kind. It is part of a larger campaign to change India’s identity.

RSS is a group that supports Hindu majoritarian rule. Its goal is to turn India into a Hindu Rashtra. In this system, minorities like Muslims, Christians, and others are seen as outsiders.

Another disturbing incident has taken place in Bilaspur village in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, where a labourer woman, Sakina, and her son, Shafiqur Rahman, were beaten in UP by a BJP leader using slippers and sticks.

Reports indicate that the incident took place on Monday, June 30, in Bilaspur town, located in the Dankaur area of Gautam Buddha Nagar.
